We believe that the arts should be for ALL. Your ability to enjoy the arts is not controlled by how much money you have, your age, whether you went to University, whether you have a disability, or find yourself disabled by society, or anything else that may or may not define you; so why should your access be controlled by these things? Or, any of these determine your chance of a career in our creative and cultural industries?
That is why Live Art Local CIC creates projects that take art out of traditional settings (theatres, museums, galleries etc) and position them where they can be experienced by all for little or no cost. Our aim, to make the arts accessible to all!
We create new and dynamic work, support the development of artists, and produce high-quality publications and happenings that are aimed at increasing awareness of, and participation in arts and culture in the south.
Started in 2014 and evolving into what we are today, Live Art Local has decided to make 2020 the start of a new chapter in the history of Live Art Local, making this our year of the FAMILY. Join us this year for a variety of projects and events aimed at putting children and families at every stage of their development, at the heart of what we do!
