JUBILATION: DANCE!
As part of our JUBILATION! Celebratory events and workshops we will be hosting a dance workshop with a workshopping mini performance at the end of the session. This session is three hours long, with breaks, and will take place over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
Leading this workshop will be Sasha Biloshisky, International Movement Artist and Founder of Street Dance, Hip-Hop, and B-Boy dance organisation, Funk Format.
Like all those who run workshops with us, Sasha is DBS checked, and although this session is not one where you have to stay with your child, you can of course if you want to, as long as this does not disrupt the session.
The workshop takes place at SPACE in Fareham Shopping Centre (in Osborn Mall) on the first day of the Bank Holiday, Thursday June 2nd. It will start at 10am and finish at 1pm.
This is a workshopping session where the young people will work with the artist to create a piece to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and they will be invited at the end to perform this to a small audience of friends and family.
We will be filming part of this session and will be emailing a consent form to all those who book, if you do not give consent for your child to appear in any photographs or filming please let us know and we will do out best for them to not be included and where this is not possible will cover their faces/blur post-production.
There will be breaks and we will provide snacks and a drink for all those who attend. We will be sending out a quick form to all those who book to make sure we have contact details, details of any special needs and any food allergies. We would appreciate if these could be returned asap as it helps us in the planning.
After the session we will ask you to fill out a very short online feedback form to help us develop further sessions.
