Arts Award Discover in a day! FREE SUMMER OPPORTUNITY in FAREHAM

This summer Live Art Local CIC are offering your 4-10 year old the chance to do their Arts Award Discover for FREE!

Arts Awards are nationally recognised arts qualifications devised by Arts Council England in conjunction with Trinity College and are administered by Trinity. Live Art Local CIC are a registered arts award centre with an onsite Arts Award Advisor. More details about Arts Awards are available here .

The Arts Awards Discover is the main qualification for children of primary school age, from 4-10 and although it usually costs upwards of £30 to complete we are giving children with the help of their guardians the chance to do their Arts Awards Discover in a day at SPACE in Fareham Shopping Centre.

All you need to do it to pop into SPACE (next to the sweet shop and opposite B&M) on Monday 11th August and take part in some arts activities and complete your arts award booklet. All for FREE. We are a not for profit organisation and we get no core funding and work predominantly as volunteers so donations are welcome but are not expected.

This event will run between 12 and 3pm!

Funny Bones / Day of Dead Mini Monets Taster Session

Join us for our Mini Monets Taster session at SPACE Fareham (next to the sweet shop in Osborn Mall Fareham Shopping Centre) on Thursday 19th October between 11am and 12pm. Little ones from six months to five will have spooky fun creating skeleton art whilst exploring the artist Edward Burra’s Dancing Skeletons, the seminal children’s book, FunnyBones, and the sugar skulls of the Mexican celebration, Day of the Dead.

The whole ethos of Mini Monets is getting creative together and having fun while creating large scale group pieces that you couldn’t do at home. Whether your children are 6 months or 5 years old, there will be a way for them to engage.

Mini Monets starts after October half term and will be priced at £6.50 per 1.5 hour session, payable half-termly. This taster will be an hour long and will cost £4.

Boxes are all packed for our JUBILATION! Art Course

After four days of prep and packing, we are excited to announce our Equipment and Materials boxes for the JUBILATION! Art Course are now ready to go. Every box contains everything that will be needed to create different artworks over the next 5 weeks, with specific boxes for ages 7+ and 11+ containing age-appropriate equipment.

Also included are the booklets for your Arts Award Discover and course booklets detailing what will be needed for every session.
