New Groups for Young People and Families

While Beth who volunteers her time to run Art Play is busy running the Saturday Club for Andover College and CAS we are having a break from Saturday Art Play.  However, we are not cutting down the sessions we run to empower families to get creative.

Adding to our regular Thursday group, Creative Youth for 11 – 16 year olds, we also have three new groups starting in March.

Every Monday from the 4th March we are running Creative Kids for kids from birth to ten years of age.  This is a space for younger children to engage in art play, watch short film, build dens, make friends, learn artistic skills and grow in confidence with their care givers.

On alternate Tuesday afternoons from 5th March we begin our Home Ed Into Film Club where young people 12+ will come together to watch films together, to learn about film making, film theory and film criticism, with other opportunities available to them through Into Film

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month we will be running a Home Ed All Age Lego Club at the Titchfield Parish Rooms.  This is a chance for children of all ages who are home educated to come together to learn and play through creating together with other children and their families.

Culture@Home: Susanna Dye – Home: A Toolbox for Movement

Every week until 19th August we are running a Culture @ Home session on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm.  These are always free and the creatives are each paid £150 for taking part.  After the sessions we compress the recording and where agreed with the artist, make it available online so that those who could not join our sessions are able to make use of them at home.

This week we were lucky enough to have movement director and choreographer Susanna Dye open us up to the idea of using your home as a creative tool for movement and to look at these places we inhabit with fresh eyes.  The session is below, thanks to all who took part.

HOPE Art Exhibition Fareham Thursday 11th June

This Thursday is the private view for our newest exhibition: HOPE.  Featuring artists from around the UK working in a variety of media, this latest exhibition asks what is hope and what happens when hope is lost; where do we go next?

The private view begins at 5:30 and ends at 7:30pm.  We will have wine and nibbles available for our guests, and being the lovely kind of people we are, there will even be  soft drinks for those drivers and tee-totallers among you!
